Celebrate Aberdeen

Organised by a team of volunteers, Celebrate Aberdeen is a unique celebration which has been held in the city every summer since 2011. The parade element of the event was first held in 2011 and has brought together more than 3,500 people from 130 diverse third sector organisations on each of the five occasions it has taken place.

In 2014 a weekend of musical performances, aimed at showcasing local talent, was added to the mix. 2015 saw the return of the parade with it being at the core of the weekend’s celebrations since. But the philosophy of Celebrate Aberdeen has always remained the same, namely that of community spirit, supporting each other, volunteering and civic pride.
